FAQs

Do wind farms create jobs?

Yes. The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority even estimates that wind energy produces 27% more jobs per kilowatt hour (kWh) than coal and 66% more jobs than natural gas without the negative health and environmental impacts such as air and water pollution and landscape destruction. Unlike land flooded for hydro generation, 97% of the land occupied by wind farms can continue to be used for grazing.
